Patricio Gomez holds a degree in Business Administration from George Mason University, Virginia (May 1988) and an MBA from George Washington University, Washington DC january 1991.
Since May 2005, he has been an executive director and partner of the private equity fund Sur Capital Partners (SCP). He is a member of the Boards of Directors of SCP investment portfolio companies: BO Packaging, a packaging company in Chile and Peru, and El Tejar Ltd., an agricultural company with operations in Brazil and Bolivia. He is also on the Board of Directors of Nortel, a telecommunications holding company that owns Telecom Argentina, and of Aerodoc, a Miami-based logistics company.
He was previously on the Board of Directors of Integramédica, a leading company in the Chilean healthcare industry, and of TIBA, a satellite services company for the cable industry in Latin America.
From May 1999 to 2004, he served as Managing Director for Latin America at General Electric Capital - GE Equity - and was responsible for its portfolio of private equity investments in the region. He previously worked in the investment banking area of Banco Santander Rio and in the treasury department of the Bunge & Born group.
