Graduated cum laude in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florence in 1997 - with semesters and exams at University College London (UK) and New York University (USA) -, she has also obtained a Master's Degree in Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment in Milan at the Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei in 1999.
In her professional career, from September 2019 to the present day she has been Global Head of Strategy of the Enel Group, Economics and Scenario Planning, reporting to the CFO of the Group, and also Global Head of Group Strategy, since 2016. Before that, she was Head Global Generation Business Development Manager (2014-2016), Head of Business Development of the International Division (2010-2014) and Head of International Regulation of the Enel Group (2007-2010).
She arrived at Endesa Italia in June 2002 as Head of Regulatory Affairs for Italy and Head of CO2 and Sustainability (since 2004) and joined Enel in 2007.
Mrs. Gostinelli has participated as a director on numerous boards of directors of the Enel Group, part of which are listed on different markets. Among them: Endesa Américas (January-April 2016) and Endesa Chile (April 2015-April 2016), Enel Green Power SPA (2013-2015). Since 2022, she has participated as a director at Endesa SA in Madrid and is a member of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee.
Participates (2018-today) in committees of the World Economic Forum as a member of the Chief Strategy Officers and Electricity community. She has participated (2021-2022) in the Steering Committee of Energy Solution of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and in 2023 she is a mentor in the LEAP program.
She has participated (2019-2020) in the Advisory Council on Climate Scenarios for TCFD. In the past (before 2010) she has been a Member of the Confindustria Energy Commission in Italy, a Member of the Advisory Council of the Florence School of Regulation and a Member of the Participants Committee of the Italian Carbon Fund of the World Bank. She is the author of several articles on Energy and Sustainability.
She is part of the Alumni networks at INSEAD, Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei and the German Marshall Fund (she is a Fellow since 2010) as a mentor and contributor to #giveback projects and events.
Married with two teenage children, she loves to travel, theater, art, music, skiing and swimming in the sea.
