Giulia is Italian and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Università di Palermo in Italy, and a Master's in Administration, Finance and Control from Luiss Business School in Rome, Italy.
She joined Enel SPA in May 2003 as part of the internal auditing team.
From August 2008 to July 2013, she was Secretary to the Enel SpA Supervision Council pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01.
From February 2019 to February 2020, she was a member of the work team for the European laboratory project on climate-related reports, at EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) in Brussels, Belgium.
From September 2020 to February 2021, she participated in the work team for the European laboratory project in preparatory works to develop potential non-financial reporting standards for the EU, also at EFRAG.
She is currently a member of the EFRAG SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING TECHNICAL EXPERT GROUP (EFRAG SR TEG), responsible for the development of the EU Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Since September 2020, she has been a Member of the Global Sustainability Standards Council at the GRI Global Reporting Initiative.
She currently continues to work at Enel spa in Rome as Head of Sustainability Planning, Performance Management and Human Rights – Enel.
