Enel Distribución Ceará is the electricity distribution company for northeastern Brazil’s Ceará State, with a concession area of 148,921 m2. It serves a population of more than 9 million inhabitants.
In 2015, the company’s energy sales amounted to 11,229 GWh, up by 0.6% on 2014. Residential clients accounted for 35% of sales and commercial clients for 19%, followed by industrial clients and non-regulated clients, each with 11%, while other clients accounted for 24%.
As of end-2015, the company had a total of 3,757,651 clients, 3.7% more than at end-2014. Of these, 76.2% were residential, 6.2% were commercial and 0.2% were industrial clients while 17.4% corresponded to other clients.
