Enel Américas participates in power generation through Enel Brasil and its subsidiaries Enel Green Power Cachoeira, Volta Grande and Enel Generación Fortaleza. These three plants - two hydroelectrics and the other thermoelectric - generate a net total of 1,354 MW, equivalent to 0.88% of power generation in the Brazilian national grid.
The Group’s electricity generation in Brazil reached 4,034 GWh, 52% of which was hydroelectric. This represented 0.7% of the total electricity generated in the country.
Other generation companies connected to the Brazilian grid are CHESF, Furnas, Cemig, Electronorte, Cesp, Copel, Eletrobras and Eletropaulo.
