Educating with Energy

“We work to help young people from Bogotá have faith in their ability to find answers and strengthen their capacity for inner searching.”

A light of hope

“What will I do when I’m older?” This is a question many Colombian kids ask themselves when they are growing up. Our Educating with Energy program seeks to answer this question by having faith in the ambitions, projects and hopes that these children often abandon as a result of a lack of self-esteem.

In cooperation with the Compensar Family Assistance Fund, we are working in six schools in the urban districts of Engativá, Ciudad Bolívar, San Cristóbal and Kennedy. Since 2013, we have witnessed and participated in the growth and coming-of-age of more than 5,000 children.

We run workshops with an inter-disciplinary team, comprising psychologists, social workers, teachers and school management personnel, all of whom understand the students’ needs and expectations. The aim is to define personal development plans for young people through an innovative commitment model that combines multi-disciplinary activities and community meetings.

Energy to build their own future

We are working to help young people from Bogotá have faith in their ability to find answers and strengthen their capacity for inner searching. We are helping them to see their lives as a journey filled with opportunities. We are helping them grow so that in the future they can enter the working world with a sound educational foundation.
