Enel Americas, the arm of Enel Group in the region was recognized as one of the best companies in the capital market 2018, "2018 Best Corporates" in the Capital Markets Awards, by the important financial markets magazine LatinFinance.
The recognition was on August 2nd and among the things that were evaluated and made Enel Americas worthy of this recognition are: the success of the corporate reorganization started in 2015 that separated Chile's assets from the rest of the region and the purchase of Eletropaulo in June 2018, the largest electric distributor Company in Sao Paulo, Brazil. On the other hand, Enel Americas signed, in February of this year, a financing line committed to three years for US $ 1,000 million. It also issued a 10-year Yankee Bond for US $ 600 million in October 2016.
Finally, the magazine stand out the position of Enel in Chile. In 2018, was concluded the merger with Enel Green Power which is manifested in the incorporation of the generation business with non-conventional renewable sources into the stock and debt markets. In the success of this operation, LatinFinance magazine recognizes the strength of the company within the market. In January of this year, Enel Chile received an 18-month loan for, at least US $ 2.000 million to support the reorganization and acquire an additional 33,6% of Enel Generación Chile.
