This Thursday, April 25, Enel Américas presented its financial results. Maurizio Bezzeccheri, the company’s CEO, pointed out that "In the first quarter of 2019, Enel Americas EBITDA amounted to 909 million dollars, that is, it grew approximately 11%, mainly explained by the better results in Brazil, after the incorporation of Enel Distribuição São Paulo, which performance is already showing significant improvements. It is our ability to create value through strategic transactions and organic growth, together with the company's operational capacity, which constitutes a solid platform for possible future growth. Looking ahead, we expect greater value creation, enhanced by the proposed capital increase that will be voted by Enel Americas’ shareholders on April 30 and that would leave us in a good position to take advantage of the opportunities offered by this region in this phase of reorganization of the electricity sector.”
